You have arrived at the Amber 4 Ultra plug-in suite by Acustica Audio.
The newest release from Acustica Audio features their innovative Hyper technology and updated Aria engine to offer an improved version of their well-known Amber 4 plug-in suite. Amber 4 Ultra includes accurate recreations of Class A equipment such as EQs, compressor, and preamp, with upgraded visuals and better sound quality.
The suite includes two EQ plug-ins called Amber 4 Ultra and Amber 4 Stereo Ultra. Both have similar controls, but the Stereo version has separate controls for each channel. Each plug-in has four bands with frequency and gain controls. The low- and high-mid bands have a width parameter, while the low- and high-frequency bands have a control for switching between peak and shelf filter types.
Amber 4 Ultra has a control system that allows users to adjust signals in the middle, left/right, and side channels, while Amber 4 Stereo Ultra allows for separate control of the left/mid and right/side channels. Acustica claims that the former is a highly effective parametric EQ with minimal noise in the digital realm, and they assure that the latter is one of the most transparent EQ options in their lineup in terms of musical quality.
The Amber 4 Comp Ultra is a compressor and preamp that emulates a Class-A opto compressor using Hyper technology for a clear dynamics processing. It includes typical compressor controls, as well as extra features like side-chain filtering, stereo linking, signal blending options, and built-in parallel compression.
Amber 4 Pre Ultra is the final part of the collection and includes eight emulations of Class A preamp designs. The collection features both solid-state and valve-based units, all of which have a user-friendly set of controls including input and output levels, Preamp (gain), and Filter (high-pass).
The latest Aira engine enables all plug-ins to have dynamic and real-time metering displays, as well as the company's Anti-Aliasing algorithm. Additionally, they have lower CPU usage than previous versions.
Amber 4 Ultra is compatible with computers running Windows 10 or 11, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and above. It comes in versions compatible with VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX plug-ins.
The Amber 4 Ultra is currently on the market and can be purchased for a discounted price of €89 until February 26, 2024. After this date, the price will increase to €209.
