Kane Brown: A Heartwarming Legacy of Giving Back to Underprivileged Kids

  • by

Kane Brown has always been a strong advocate for underprivileged children, even since he first started out as a popular country artist. He has consistently shown his support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that aim to help at-risk youth and provide them with opportunities.

Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their dedication to supporting children and their focus on charitable activities.

Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given annually to artists who prioritize giving back in their work.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America strive to give kids from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic hardships, a chance for success and belonging in a supportive community. Brown, who faced challenges like homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, has expressed regret that he did not have a safe place like the organization offers for young people to grow up in.

Apart from giving money to support projects, such as one that paid for a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also offered personal experiences to children. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local organization, treating them to dinner while sharing his own story. Additionally, he has been involved in reviving a local chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The efforts of the country star in supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.

Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
