The lead singer of Sugar Ray has confirmed that Kid Rock was telling the truth in his lyrics about "getting more attention" than Mark McGrath.
The lyrics were taken from Rock's song "Cocky" released in 2001 as part of his album with the same title. In the highlighted part of the song, Rock talks about his identity and success, comparing himself to other musicians like Matchbox Twenty and Mark McGrath.
How was a solution found to this question that has been around for over twenty years? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument. McKenty also mentioned the Sugar Ray singer in his post.
McGrath responded to the question with a good-natured attitude, confirming that he did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name. This response was shared through the platform X (previously known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be intriguing to compare the financial success of both bands, considering they have both been active for four decades.
