Kane Brown has been recognized with a big award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children. Since the beginning of his career as a popular country singer, Brown has consistently shown support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that offer opportunities to at-risk youth.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the "I Can Feel It" artist's consistent dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back as a significant aspect of their work.
He will be celebrated during CRS Honors, which is an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to give children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing socioeconomic challenges, a chance to be a part of a welcoming community. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed his desire for having a safe place like the organization offers for young people to grow up in.
Aside from donating money, such as funding a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally supported children by giving them tickets and backstage access. He did this for 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, even including dinner and sharing his own story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization for his contributions.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award have included Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
