Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children. Since the beginning of his career in country music, he has shown strong support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that offer opportunities to disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the dedication of the singer of "I Can Feel It" in supporting children and giving importance to various philanthropic endeavors.
Brown has been awarded the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which recognizes artists who prioritize giving back as a significant aspect of their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a supportive environment and opportunities to children, particularly those facing economic challenges. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed a desire for the kind of safe space that the organization strives to create for young people.
Aside from donating money, Brown has also given children opportunities. For example, he funded the renovation of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022 and provided tickets and backstage access to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter. During this experience, he shared his own story with the group and included dinner. Additionally, he has helped rebuild a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award in the previous year.
