Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children since the beginning of his career as a popular country artist. He has consistently shown support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that offer opportunities to at-risk and underserved youth.
Currently, the country music radio sector is recognizing the dedication of the singer of "I Can Feel It" to supporting children and prioritizing other charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back to their communities as a significant aspect of their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to give children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic challenges, the chance to belong to a supportive community. Brown, who faced homelessness, discrimination, and mistreatment as a child, expressed a desire for the safe and nurturing environment that the organization offers to young people.
Aside from donating money, Brown has also given children opportunities by gifting tickets and backstage access to a group of 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter. This included a dinner where he shared his personal story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chatanooga, Tenn.
The country singer has been recognized for his involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his efforts.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award have included artists such as Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award in the previous year.
