You have arrived at the page for the Amber 4 Ultra plug-in suite created by Acustica Audio.
Acustica Audio has released a new version of their Amber 4 plug-in suite called Amber 4 Ultra, which features their Hyper technology and Aria engine for improved performance. This updated suite includes accurate models of Class A equipment such as EQs, a compressor, and a preamp, all with upgraded graphics and audio quality.
Two EQ plug-ins are included in the suite: Amber 4 Ultra and Amber 4 Stereo Ultra. Both have similar controls, but the Stereo variant has separate controls for each channel. Each plug-in has four bands with frequency and gain controls. The low- and high-mid bands have a width parameter, while the low- and high-frequency bands have a control to switch between peak and shelf filter types.
Amber 4 Ultra offers a control system that allows users to specifically target mid, left/right, and side signals, while Amber 4 Stereo Ultra allows for separate control over the left/mid and right/side channels. According to Acustica, Amber 4 Ultra is a highly effective, low-noise parametric EQ in the digital realm, while Amber 4 Stereo Ultra is one of the most transparent EQ options in their lineup in terms of musicality.
The Amber 4 Comp Ultra emulates a Class-A opto compressor using Hyper technology for clear dynamics processing. It includes typical compressor controls as well as extras like side-chain filtering, stereo linking options, blending controls for mid, left/right, and side signals, and built-in parallel compression.
Amber 4 Pre Ultra includes a variety of Class A preamp designs, with a total of eight emulations available. These emulations include both solid-state and valve-based units, each with a basic set of controls such as input and output levels, Preamp (gain) and Filter (high-pass).
The updated Aira engine allows each plug-in to now have dynamic and real-time metering displays and the company's Anti-Aliasing algorithm. Additionally, the plug-ins have lower CPU usage compared to their previous versions.
System Requirements
Amber 4 Ultra is compatible with computers running Windows 10 or 11, as well as Macs running macOS 10.15 or later. It is available in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX plug-in versions.
Currently, the Amber 4 Ultra is available for purchase at an introductory price of €89 until February 26, 2024. After this date, the price will increase to €209.
