Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their enduring dedication to supporting children and prioritizing charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back as a significant aspect of their professional lives.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a supportive environment and opportunities to children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic challenges. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed a desire for the type of safe and welcoming space that the organization strives to create for young people.
Apart from giving money, such as funding a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally given opportunities to children. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, which included dinner and a chance to hear his own story. Additionally, he has been involved in reconstructing a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer has been recognized for his efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, being awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" in 2022.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and more. Tracy Lawrence was the winner of the award last year.
