Country music artists Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have taken on a new venture as the owners of "Field & Stream" magazine.
Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have decided to venture into the world of publishing by purchasing Field & Stream magazine. They plan to revive the well-known brand by reintroducing it as a print magazine, website, and apparel company. Additionally, they have exciting plans to organize a live music festival in connection with the magazine. This move shows their interest in the outdoors and their desire to expand their creative endeavors beyond music.
The "Field & Stream 1871 Club" offers subscribers three different membership levels, with prices ranging from $15 to $95 per year. Each membership level grants online access to new articles about hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, as well as access to the F&S archives. Members who choose the top two tiers will also receive a print magazine, published twice a year, in an 11 x 14 format. Additionally, members will receive exclusive accessories such as bandannas and hats, and early access to live events and product purchases. This includes the opportunity to buy tickets to a music festival, which is highly anticipated by the new owners.
Church and Wallen have partnered with a group of investors to acquire the Field & Stream retail brand from Dick's Sporting Goods and the media component from Recurrent, a digital media company.
Church expressed that his grandfather used to keep a few of his preferred Field & Stream magazines on the dashboard of his truck. These magazines held great significance to him and served as his guiding principles. Church feels privileged to continue the legacy of this cherished tradition. He believes it is his duty to uphold the values of an American Icon and to preserve the memories of a young boy sitting in his grandfather's truck. These factors will serve as a compass in guiding their actions.
Wallen expressed his love for spending time with friends in various outdoor settings such as around a campfire, on a boat, or in a deer stand. He believes that Field & Stream represents these experiences and is thrilled to be a part of its future. His goal is to continue bringing people together in the great outdoors and creating lasting memories for future generations.
