Country singer Chris Young was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and allegedly assaulting a police officer at a bar in Nashville.
Country singer Chris Young, who has an upcoming album titled Young Love & Saturday Nights, was taken into custody on Monday evening at a bar in Nashville. The arrest occurred following an alleged altercation between Young and a representative from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
Based on legal records obtained by Rolling Stone, Young, who is 38 years old, has been accused of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a law enforcement officer.
The situation seems to have started when the TABC conducted a standard check of identification and license cards at bars located on Demonbreun Hill, which is a well-known area with nightclubs in Nashville. During the check at the Tin Roof bar, Young presented his identification, but instead of simply cooperating, he started to question and film the agents.
Based on the document, Young and several of his friends then followed the agents to a bar called the Dawg House. Young allegedly stood in the way of one of the agents trying to leave the bar. The agent stated in the affidavit that Young put his hands out to block the agent and hit him on the shoulder. In response, the agent pushed Young away to create distance because he didn't know who Young was or what he was capable of.
According to the sworn statement, there was a confrontation that occurred, resulting in Young being detained and placed in handcuffs. The report mentions that Young had bloodshot and watery eyes, as well as slurred speech. Young was taken to the Metro jail and released on Tuesday morning. Currently popular topics include Nicki Minaj's diss track aimed at Megan Thee Stallion, Kenneth Petty being ordered to serve house arrest, Trump's undisclosed plan to increase presidential immunity, and the mixed reception of the final season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm".
