Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have taken on a new role as the owners of 'Field & Stream' magazine.
Eric Church and Morgan Wallen, both country singers, have decided to venture into the publishing industry by acquiring Field & Stream magazine. They plan to revitalize the brand by launching it as a print magazine and website, while also introducing an apparel company. Additionally, they have intentions to organize a live music festival as part of their new venture.
The "Field & Stream 1871 Club" offers different membership options for subscribers. These options range from $15 to $95 per year and give members online access to new stories about hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, as well as access to the F&S archives. If members choose the top two tiers, they will also receive the Field & Stream print magazine, which is published twice a year and measures 11 x 14 inches. In addition to these benefits, members will also have the opportunity to purchase members-only accessories like bandannas and hats, and they will have early access to live events and product purchases. This includes the chance to buy tickets to a music festival, which is likely to feature the new owners as headliners.
Church and Wallen have teamed up with other investors to acquire the Field & Stream retail brand from Dick's Sporting Goods and the media component from Recurrent, a digital media company, as stated in a press release.
Church stated that he has vivid memories of his grandfather keeping some of his beloved Field & Stream magazines on the dashboard of his truck. These magazines held great significance to Church, as they served as his source of inspiration and guidance. He considers it a tremendous honor to continue his grandfather's legacy and ensure that the values instilled in the American Icon are passed down to future generations. The responsibility to uphold this legacy, both as a tribute to the iconic publication and as a reminder of a young boy sitting in his grandfather's truck, will serve as the guiding force in their actions.
Wallen expressed his love for spending time with friends in various outdoor activities such as sitting around a campfire, being on a boat, or sitting in a deer stand. He believes that Field & Stream encompasses all of these activities and being a part of its future is an amazing opportunity. Wallen aims to continue bringing people together in the outdoors, creating lasting memories for future generations.
