Chris Young Exonerated: Charges Dropped After Nashville Bar Arrest

  • by

Chris Young has been found not guilty of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.

Chris Young, a country artist, has been declared innocent after being accused of getting into a verbal altercation with an agent from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission. This incident resulted in his arrest on Monday evening.

On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Fun released a statement stating that the charges against Chris Young will be dropped after thoroughly reviewing all the evidence in the case.

Young was accused of committing disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer. The incident supposedly occurred when the TABC was conducting a routine check of identification and license cards at bars located on Demonbreun Hill, which is a well-known area with numerous nightclubs in Nashville. During the check, Young provided his identification but then proceeded to question and record the actions of the TABC agents.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Rolling Stone, the agent stated that Young prevented them from leaving Dawg House and physically stopped them by placing his hands on the agent's shoulder. However, surveillance video from the night of the arrest seemed to contradict these claims, suggesting that Young did not assault the officer during the incident on Monday night.

After the arrest, Young's lawyer, Bill Ramsey, stated that the arrest was unjust and requested that the charges be dismissed.

Ramsey, the client's lawyer, expressed his strong disapproval of the arrest and charges against Chris Young at a Nashville bar on Monday night. According to Ramsey, the incident was unjust and should never have occurred. He believes that, considering the video evidence, the Tennessee ABC should dismiss the charges against his client and offer an apology for the negative impact it had on Young's physical, emotional, and professional well-being.
