Eric Church and Morgan Wallen: Revitalizing Field & Stream Magazine as Owners

  • by

Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have taken on a new role as the owners of 'Field & Stream' magazine.

Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have joined the publishing industry by acquiring Field & Stream magazine. They have big plans to revive the brand by turning it into a print magazine, a website, and an apparel company. Additionally, they are also planning to organize a live music festival under the Field & Stream brand. This move brings them into the world of media and entertainment, following in the footsteps of influential newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst.

The "Field & Stream 1871 Club" offers subscribers the option to choose from three different levels of membership, with prices ranging from $15 to $95 per year. Each membership level provides online access to new articles about hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities, as well as access to the F&S archives. Members who choose the top two tiers will also receive a print magazine, which is published twice a year and measures 11 x 14 inches. In addition, members will have exclusive access to accessories such as bandannas and hats, as well as early access to live events and the opportunity to purchase products before the general public. This includes the chance to buy tickets to a music festival, which we can only assume will feature the new owners as headliners.

Church and Wallen, along with a group of investors, have acquired the Field & Stream retail brand from Dick's Sporting Goods and the media component from Recurrent, a digital media company.

Church expressed that he has vivid memories of his grandfather storing some of his preferred Field & Stream magazines on the dashboard of his truck. These magazines held great importance to him and served as his source of inspiration. He considers it a great privilege to ensure the continuation of this legacy. His commitment is driven by the responsibility to honor an iconic American figure and also to preserve the experience of a young boy sitting in his grandfather's truck. This sense of duty will serve as their guiding principle in all their endeavors.

According to Wallen, nothing brings him more joy than spending time with friends in various outdoor settings such as around a campfire, on a boat, or in a deer stand. He believes that Field & Stream represents all of these experiences to him and he is thrilled to be a part of its future. Wallen wants to continue bringing people together in the great outdoors and creating lasting memories for generations to come.
