Country singer Morgan Wallen expresses anger towards his former managers for releasing his old music without his permission. In response, Wallen retaliates by releasing a new song.
Country singer Morgan Wallen released a new song called "Spin You Around (1/24)" on Friday as a response to his former managers releasing a collection of his old songs without his consent. Wallen explained the situation to his fans in a long post on Instagram on Thursday.
In 2014, Wallen moved to Florida with the intention of writing and recording his own music. During this time, he made the decision to sign both a recording deal and an artist management deal. However, Wallen now reflects on this choice with regret, as he did not seek legal advice before signing these agreements.
According to his statement, they created a total of 13 songs. While some of these songs were decent, the majority of them were quite awful. This was mainly because he was still in the process of learning how to write and figuring things out. Additionally, it's important to note that he wasn't the sole collaborator, so many of these songs were not his own ideas and did not meet his personal standards.
The singer mentioned that the outcome of those sessions was a collection of five songs called Stand Alone. One of the songs, "Spin You Around", became popular among fans. Now, after 10 years, Wallen reveals that his former colleagues will be releasing the original EP along with eight previously unreleased songs.

Wallen expressed his disgust and disapproval, highlighting how the music industry's corrupt and self-serving practices can drain the creativity and passion from artists.
In response, Wallen has stated that he will not only re-record the song "Spin You Around," but also donate $100,000 from his Morgan Wallen Foundation to the Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals for the Arts program, an organization in Tennessee that provides legal assistance to artists. Wallen hopes that young musicians who aspire to make it in the industry will read his story and understand that they should never have to sacrifice their creative freedoms for an opportunity.
