Country singer Chris Young was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and allegedly assaulting a police officer at a bar in Nashville.

On Monday night, country singer Chris Young, who has an upcoming album titled Young Love & Saturday Nights set to release on March 22, was apprehended at a bar in Nashville. The reason for his arrest was an alleged altercation with an agent from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

Based on legal records obtained by Rolling Stone, a person named Young, who is 38 years old, has been accused of engaging in disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

The situation seems to have started when the TABC conducted a regular inspection of patrons' identification and license cards at bars located on Demonbreun Hill, a well-known area in Nashville that has several nightclubs. During this inspection at the bar Tin Roof, Young willingly provided his identification, but then proceeded to inquire and record videos of the agents.

Based on the document, Young and several of his friends then followed the agents to a nearby bar called the Dawg House. Young allegedly prevented one of the agents from leaving the bar by blocking their path and physically striking them on the shoulder. In response, the agent pushed Young away to create distance because they were unsure of Young's identity or intentions.

According to the affidavit, there was a confrontation that took place and Young was detained and put in handcuffs. The report mentions that Young had bloodshot and watery eyes, and his speech was slurred. Young was taken to the Metro jail and was released on Tuesday morning.
