Summer, the wife of Jon Pardi, recently shared exciting details about her second pregnancy with fans. Now that the couple has revealed the news, they are fully immersed in preparing for their new addition. Summer took to Instagram Stories to give fans a glimpse into her current pregnancy journey through a Q&A session over the weekend.
On Saturday (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. The wife shared the story of how she discovered her current pregnancy, admitting that it caught them off guard. This was not due to lack of effort in trying to conceive, but rather because it took them a significant amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in one part of her presentation that they faced significant challenges when trying to conceive their first child, Presley. They struggled for a period of two years and were even advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) before finally conceiving naturally when they least expected it. Following this experience, they decided to begin trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy process, but were pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
On the morning when she discovered her pregnancy, she began by taking a test that initially seemed to show a negative result. She woke up very early one morning, feeling the need to urinate, so she decided to take the test because she and her partner had been attempting to conceive in the weeks leading up to that moment. She observed the test, which displayed a negative outcome, leaving her disappointed. Consequently, she discarded the test in the trash and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the situation didn't come to an end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the test she had thrown away and recheck the results. To her surprise, it showed a clear positive sign. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests that provide immediate results, and she had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to show the complete outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because she experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was carrying a boy. She even went as far as choosing a nursery theme based on this assumption.
Earlier this month, the Pardis used a unique method to reveal the gender of their baby. They pulled away two slices from a pepperoni pizza and discovered pink slips of paper underneath, indicating that they were expecting a girl. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised by this news and are extremely enthusiastic about welcoming another daughter into their family.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies for now. While I cannot definitively rule out the possibility of a third baby in the future, we currently do not have any intentions or plans for it.
The couple is having a disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer believes that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all her suggestions for their second child. As a result, they are currently not communicating about the topic. However, Summer jokingly mentioned that they are not talking about it. She also provided a list of her current favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their child, Presley, in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They even sought medical advice but decided to take a break before eventually getting pregnant soon after.
