The arrest of Chris Young has been called into question as surveillance footage contradicts the claims made by the officer regarding assault.
According to Daniel Kreps, there is surveillance footage that challenges the statements made by a Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission agent regarding Chris Young's arrest at a bar in Nashville. The video suggests that the country star did not assault the officer involved in the incident that occurred on Monday night.
Nashville's Newschannel 5 reporter Nick Beres shared two surveillance videos on Facebook on Tuesday. In the videos, Young, who is wearing a leather jacket, can be seen calmly approaching the undercover TABC agents. He lightly touches one of the agents on the arm. In response, the agent forcefully pushes Young backward, causing him to fall over a bar stool at the Dawg House bar.
Young was accused of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer after the incident. However, the video evidence does not clearly show Young's arrest and whether or not he resisted. The agent claimed in the arrest affidavit that Young blocked the agents from leaving the Dawg House and physically prevented the agent from leaving by putting his hands on their shoulder. However, the video footage contradicts this claim and shows that it was exaggerated.

Young is standing by, ready to inquire about why the men captured a picture of his identification. He extends his hand to request the agent to pause and engage in a conversation. However, the agent forcefully pushes Young, causing him to fall to the ground. According to Young's attorney, his client simply wished to verify the identity of the individuals, who were not easily recognizable as they were not wearing clear uniforms, and inquire about the purpose of photographing his ID.
After being pushed by the agent, Young retreats from the confrontation with his hands raised, as his colleagues and a few other customers gather around the agents.
Beres stated that according to the lawyer of Young, it was conveyed to him that the treatment his client received at the Dawg House was unjust and that he should not have been taken into custody. The lawyer also suggested that ABC should dismiss the charges against Young and issue an apology.
According to the affidavit, Young exhibited signs of intoxication such as bloodshot and watery eyes, as well as slurred speech. He was taken into custody and later released on Tuesday morning. Young's next court appearance for the charges is set for February 16th.

According to a statement made by Young's lawyer, Bill Ramsey, he believes that the singer's arrest was unjust and is advocating for the charges against him to be dismissed.
According to Ramsey, the arrest and charges against his client Chris Young at a bar in Nashville were unjustified. Ramsey believes that the Tennessee ABC should drop the charges and apologize to Young for the physical, emotional, and professional harm caused to him.
