Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, has shared information about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple, who are both involved in the country music scene, are fully dedicated to preparing for their new addition. Summer recently provided fans with a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.
During Saturday (Jan. 27), the wife of the singer took the time to respond to several fan inquiries regarding pregnancy and babies. She shared the story of how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news was unexpected, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that it was difficult for her and her partner to conceive their first child, Presley. They struggled for two years and were advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they miraculously conceived naturally when they decided to let go of the stress and pressure. Due to their previous experience, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy journey, but to their astonishment, they were met with a pleasant surprise.
She discovered her pregnancy one morning when she decided to take a test after waking up early and needing to use the bathroom. They had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks. Initially, the test appeared to be negative, which disappointed her. She threw the test in the trash and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the discarded pregnancy test to double-check. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, causing her to forget that pregnancy tests require a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses her surprise at discovering that they were going to have another girl. This came as a shock to her because she experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. She mentions that she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was expecting a boy. Summer even had already chosen a nursery theme based on this assumption.
Earlier this month, the Pardis used a unique way to announce the gender of their upcoming baby. They pulled apart two slices of a pepperoni pizza, which revealed pink slips of paper underneath. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised to find out that they will be having another daughter. Despite the unexpected news, they are extremely enthusiastic about the new addition to their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies, although I cannot completely dismiss the possibility of having a third, we currently have no intentions or arrangements for it.
The couple is not agreeing on what to name their upcoming baby. Summer mentioned that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all her suggestions for their second child's name. As a result, they are currently not discussing it. However, Summer shared a list of her favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. They revealed that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding and had sought medical advice before taking a break from their attempts to conceive. Surprisingly, shortly after they decided to pause their efforts, they successfully became pregnant.
