Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the TV show 'Nashville', recently revealed in an interview that although the show brought her great professional success, it was a highly distressing experience for her to work on.
Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a famous country singer, in the TV show Nashville that aired from 2012 to 2018. Throughout her career, the actress has been honest about her battles with alcohol addiction, the use of opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she revealed that the writers of the show drew heavily from her real-life experiences to shape the storylines of her character. This made the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player, and then Juliette starts dating a football player too," Panettiere explains. "And then they portray her as an alcoholic. Then they have her abandon her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe, and it was obvious that they weren't being creative. They were simply taking elements from my life and adding their own twist to it. And just like that, they had a new storyline."
Panettiere expresses that her time on Nashville was highly fulfilling in terms of her career. However, she describes the experience as "very distressing" since she felt like she was reliving her own life through her acting on the show.
Panettiere is planning to go on a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" across three cities. Through this tour, she aims to inspire and support individuals who may be facing similar challenges as she has in her own life.
