Chris Young Exonerated: Charges Dropped After Nashville Bar Arrest

  • by

Chris Young has been declared innocent of all accusations following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.

Chris Young, a popular country artist, has been declared innocent after being accused of having a heated argument with an agent from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission, which resulted in his arrest on Monday evening.

The Nashville District Attorney, Glenn Fun, released a statement on Friday stating that after thoroughly examining all the evidence, the Office of the District Attorney has decided to drop the charges in the Chris Young incident.

Young was accused of committing disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer. The incident reportedly occurred during a regular check conducted by the TABC at bars located on Demonbreun Hill, a well-known area with multiple nightclubs in Nashville. During the check, when the TABC agents were verifying the identification and license cards of individuals drinking at the bar called Tin Roof, Young provided his identification and allegedly started questioning and recording the agents.

According to a document obtained by Rolling Stone, the agent stated that Young prevented them from leaving Dawg House and physically stopped the agent from leaving the bar by placing his hands on the agent's shoulder. However, surveillance footage from the night of the arrest seemed to contradict these claims, suggesting that Young did not assault the officer during the incident on Monday night.
