Summer, the wife of Jon Pardi, recently shared some exciting news with fans about their second pregnancy. The couple is now fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their new baby and Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy journey through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
During Saturday (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions addressed how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news was unexpected, not due to lack of effort in trying to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they faced a lot of difficulty in conceiving their child, Presley. After trying for two years and being advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF), they unexpectedly became pregnant naturally when they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. Therefore, in October, they made the decision to start trying for another baby, just in case it would take a long time once again.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After taking the test and seeing a negative result, she felt disappointed, threw it away, and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story didn't come to a close at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to double-check. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests need a few minutes to fully show the outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This surprise stemmed from the fact that she experienced symptoms during this pregnancy that were noticeably different from her first one. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was carrying a boy. She had already chosen the theme for the nursery, expecting a baby boy.
In the past few weeks, the Pardis decided to have a casual gender reveal by uncovering pink slips of paper hidden beneath two slices of pepperoni pizza. Despite being taken aback by the news of having another daughter, both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, are extremely thrilled about the upcoming addition to their family.
According to her, the well-being of a happy and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, they are content with having two babies at the moment, although she doesn't completely rule out the possibility of having a third baby in the future, they currently have no intentions or future plans for it.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. While Summer wants to have a say in choosing the name, Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions. This disagreement has led to a temporary halt in their communication, although Summer assures that it is all in good humor. She has also provided a list of her top choices for the baby's name, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby Presley in February 2023. When they made public their pregnancy news, they revealed that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They had sought advice from medical professionals and took a temporary break from their attempts to conceive, but soon after resuming, they successfully became pregnant.
