According to Parton, she is considering leading a competition called "Finding Dolly" in which she will conduct an extensive search to find actors for three distinct versions of the main character. These versions include a young Dolly, a Dolly from her earlier years, and an older Dolly.
"We will be holding auditions and exploring various avenues to discover talented individuals. I believe this process will also be enjoyable for people," Parton explains. "The exciting part is that we have no idea where we might come across these individuals. They could be completely new to performing or have some experience in local theaters. Nonetheless, we are determined to search for them, and I believe this will add to the enjoyment of the process."
