Summer, the wife of Jon Pardi, recently shared exciting details about her second pregnancy with their fans. The couple, known for their country music, are now fully focused on preparing for their upcoming baby. Summer took to Instagram Stories to answer questions and give fans a glimpse into her pregnancy journey.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions asked was about how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came as a shock, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in a slide that they experienced a lot of difficulty in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for a duration of two years and were advised to undergo IVF. However, when they decided to let go of the pressure and expectations, they miraculously got pregnant naturally. Reflecting on their journey, they decided to begin trying for another baby in October, anticipating that it might be another lengthy process.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After taking the test and seeing that it was negative, she felt disappointed, threw it away, and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the situation didn't come to an end with that. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to the quick results of COVID-19 tests and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully show the outcome.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another daughter. This surprised her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery, assuming it would be for a baby boy.
In recent weeks, the Pardis used a creative method to announce the gender of their upcoming child. They revealed the news by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, which uncovered pink slips of paper underneath. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news of expecting another girl, but they are extremely enthusiastic about it.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility of a third baby in the future, we currently have no intentions or plans for it.
Although this couple agrees on many aspects of parenthood, they are currently at odds when it comes to choosing a name for their unborn baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who had previously selected their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child and mistakenly believes he has the final say in naming. As a result, they are currently not on speaking terms, although Summer admits that she is only joking. She also shares a list of her favorite name options, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer have been married for about three years, and their child, Presley, was born in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively trying to have a baby since they got married in 2020. They had sought advice from doctors but decided to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, shortly after taking the break, they successfully became pregnant.
