Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy with fans. The country couple, Jon Pardi and Summer, are fully embracing the baby preparations now that they have announced the news. Summer provided a glimpse into her ongoing pregnancy during an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
During the weekend (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came as a shock, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them quite some time to get pregnant with their first child, Presley, who is currently one year old.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced a lot of difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for a duration of two years and were advised to undergo IVF. However, they unexpectedly became pregnant naturally when they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. Now, in October, they have chosen to start trying for another child, just in case it takes a long time again.
One morning, after waking up very early, she decided to take a pregnancy test because she needed to use the bathroom. They had been trying to conceive for a few weeks, so she thought it was worth checking. After taking the test, she saw that it initially showed a negative result, which made her disappointed. She then discarded the test and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't come to an end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests require a few minutes to show the complete outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was caught off guard when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her because some of the symptoms she experienced during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. She shares that during this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen the theme for the nursery in anticipation of having a boy.
Earlier this month, the Pardis used a creative way to announce the gender of their upcoming child. They revealed it by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, which exposed pink slips of paper underneath. Even though both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were not expecting to have another girl, they are extremely thrilled about the news.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies, although we won't completely rule out the possibility of having a third, we currently don't have any intentions or future plans for it.
Although the couple is in agreement on most aspects of parenthood, they are currently having a disagreement about what to name their unborn baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who had previously chosen their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child and believes that he has the final say in choosing the name. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although Summer adds that she is joking. She also shares a list of her favorite potential names for the baby, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and their child, Presley, was born in February 2023. They revealed that they had been attempting to conceive since their wedding and had sought advice from doctors before temporarily discontinuing their efforts. Surprisingly, they soon became pregnant after this break.
