Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After revealing the news to fans, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully immersed in preparing for the arrival of their second child. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some queries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions asked was about how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not because they weren't actively trying, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to conceive their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they experienced a difficult journey trying to conceive their child, Presley. They attempted for two years and were advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF), but unexpectedly became pregnant naturally when they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. Encouraged by this, they made the decision to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy process.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning after taking a test that initially showed a negative result. One morning, she woke up very early and decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for a few weeks. After taking the test and seeing it turn negative, she felt disappointed, so she threw it away and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story did not come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck the results. To her surprise, the test showed a positive outcome. She realized that she had become accustomed to the rapid results of COVID-19 tests and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was caught off guard when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her because certain symptoms she experienced during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. During this pregnancy, Summer felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe that she was expecting a boy. She even went as far as selecting a nursery theme for a boy.
During the beginning of the month, the Pardis used a creative method to announce the gender of their baby. They revealed the gender by removing two slices of pepperoni pizza, which exposed pink slips of paper underneath. Summer, along with her husband who is a country singer, were both taken aback by the news of having another girl in their family. However, she expresses that they are extremely thrilled about the upcoming addition.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I won't completely rule it out, we currently do not have any intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child and believes he has the final say in choosing the name. As a result, they are currently not speaking about it, although Summer is joking about the situation. She also shared a list of her current favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020, and in February 2023, they welcomed their baby, Presley. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to conceive since their wedding and had sought advice from doctors before taking a break. Interestingly, it was during this break that they successfully became pregnant.
