Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer, have announced that they are expecting their second child, and the couple is fully focused on preparing for the baby. Summer provided fans with a glimpse into her ongoing pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.
During the weekend (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the account of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their first child, Presley, who is currently one year old.
Summer shared in one slide that they had a difficult time conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for two years and were informed that they would need to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) to conceive. However, they unexpectedly became pregnant naturally as soon as they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. In October, they made the decision to start trying for another baby, just in case it took a long time again, but surprisingly, things happened more quickly than expected.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early one morning and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. She observed the test, which displayed a negative outcome, causing her disappointment. She then discarded the test in the trash and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to recheck it. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing immediate results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to show a complete outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her because some of the symptoms she experienced during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was carrying a boy. She even had chosen a nursery theme specifically for a boy.
At the beginning of this month, the Pardis had a straightforward way of revealing the gender of their baby by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, which unveiled pink slips of paper underneath. Despite both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being taken aback by the news of having another girl in the family, she expresses that they are extremely thrilled about it.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I can't predict the future, there are currently no intentions or future arrangements for a third baby.
The couple is currently not agreeing on the name for their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who had chosen their first child's name, dislikes all her suggestions for their second baby and believes that he gets to choose the name once again. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although Summer is joking about it. She also provided a list of her current favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the announcement about the pregnancy, they revealed that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding. They sought advice from doctors during this process and eventually decided to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, shortly after taking this break, they successfully became pregnant.
