Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully engaged in preparing for their upcoming baby. Summer recently revealed some insights into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some fan inquiries regarding pregnancy and babies. She shared the story of how she discovered she was pregnant again, revealing that it came as an unexpected surprise. Despite their efforts, the couple had experienced difficulty in conceiving their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for a duration of two years and were advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, when they decided to let go of the stress and pressure, they miraculously conceived naturally. As a result of their previous experience, they made the decision to start trying for another baby in October, expecting it to potentially take a long time again.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning, which began with a test that initially seemed to be negative. She woke up very early one morning and decided to take a test because she and her partner had been trying for a few weeks. She observed the test, which showed a negative result, so she felt disappointed, threw it away, and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the discarded pregnancy test and reexamine it. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing immediate results, causing her to overlook the fact that pregnancy tests require a few minutes to fully display the outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because she noticed certain symptoms during this pregnancy that were very different from her first one. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was going to have a boy. Summer even had already chosen a nursery theme for a boy.
Earlier in the current month, the Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, uncovering pink slips of paper beneath. Despite both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being caught off guard by the news of expecting another girl in their family, she expresses their immense enthusiasm for the upcoming addition.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost significance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
However, there is one aspect of being parents that the couple doesn't agree on at the moment, and that is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all the names she suggests for their second baby and believes he has the authority to choose the name once again. As a result, they are not currently discussing this matter, although Summer mentions it lightheartedly. Additionally, she shares a list of her current favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. They revealed that they had been trying to get pregnant since their wedding and had sought medical advice before taking a break from their efforts to conceive. Interestingly, they became pregnant shortly after deciding to pause their attempts.
