Jon Pardi’s Wife Opens Up About Surprising Pregnancy Journey and Baby No. 2

  • by

Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, has shared information about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple, who are both involved in the country music industry, are now fully focused on preparing for their new addition. Summer recently provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.

During the weekend (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. This included sharing the account of how she discovered she was expecting this time. She confessed that the news caught them off guard, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it had taken them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter Presley.

Summer shared in one slide that they struggled for two years to conceive their child, Presley. They were even advised to undergo IVF. However, they surprisingly conceived naturally right after they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. Due to their previous experience, they made the choice to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy journey.

The day she discovered that she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying for a baby in the previous weeks. She observed the test, which indicated a negative result, so she felt disappointed. She discarded the test in the trash and went back to sleep.

Luckily, the story didn't end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing fast results, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests need a few minutes to fully develop.

In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected because some of the symptoms she had during her second pregnancy were very different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.

Earlier this month, Pardis used a unique method to reveal the gender of their baby by removing two slices of pepperoni pizza and uncovering pink slips of paper. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken by surprise upon discovering that they would be having another girl. However, they express their immense excitement about the news.

The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.

The couple disagrees on one aspect of parenthood, which is the name of their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who had previously chosen Presley's name, does not like any of her suggestions for their second child's name. She jokingly mentions that they are currently not talking because of this disagreement. She also shares a list of her favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020, and they welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the announcement about the pregnancy, they revealed that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They had sought advice from doctors before deciding to take a break from trying, and surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after.
