Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. The couple, known for their country music, are actively preparing for the arrival of their second child. Summer recently took to Instagram Stories to answer fans' questions and provide updates on her pregnancy.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the account of how she discovered she was expecting this time. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not due to lack of effort on their part, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to conceive their first child, who is now a year old, named Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they had a difficult time conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for two years and were advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, as soon as they decided to let go of the pressure, they miraculously conceived naturally. Due to their previous experience, they decided to start trying for another child in October, anticipating another lengthy process.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning after taking a test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up early one morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks. After observing the test, which indicated a negative result, she felt disappointed and threw it away before returning to bed.
Thankfully, the story didn't come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests producing results rapidly, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was particularly surprising to her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.
In the beginning of this month, Pardis used a unique method to announce the gender of their baby. They revealed it by removing two slices of a pepperoni pizza, which exposed pink slips of paper underneath. Despite being caught off guard by the news of having another girl, both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, are extremely thrilled about it.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule it out, we currently have no intentions of having a third child.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who picked their first child's name, does not like any of her suggestions for their second child and believes he gets to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not speaking about it, although Summer also mentioned a list of her current favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. Upon revealing their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively attempting to conceive since their wedding, seeking advice from medical professionals. However, they decided to pause their efforts for a while before eventually getting pregnant quite swiftly.
