Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing to their fans that they are expecting their second child, the couple is fully immersed in preparations for the arrival of their baby. Summer provided a glimpse into her ongoing pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to various inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions she addressed was how she discovered she was pregnant during this particular period. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not because they weren't actively trying to conceive, but because it had taken them quite some time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they faced difficulties in conceiving a child named Presley. They tried for two years and were advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) but surprisingly, they managed to conceive naturally when they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. Encouraged by this unexpected success, they made the decision in October to start trying for another baby, just in case they encountered another lengthy process.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning by taking a test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks. After observing the test, which indicated a negative result, she felt disappointed. She disposed of the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and retrieved the pregnancy test from the garbage to reevaluate the results. She discovered that it was indeed positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to the COVID-19 tests providing immediate results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she learned that they were going to have another girl. This was surprising to her because some of the symptoms she encountered during her second pregnancy were completely different from her first. During this pregnancy, she experienced extreme nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was carrying a boy. She even had a specific theme in mind for the nursery based on this assumption.
Earlier this month, Pardis used a creative method of revealing the sex of their baby. They pulled apart two slices of pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper. Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were both pleasantly surprised to find out that they will be having another girl. Despite the unexpected news, they are extremely thrilled about the upcoming addition to their family.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is not in agreement when it comes to choosing a name for their unborn baby. Summer mentioned that Pardi, who had previously chosen their first child's name, dislikes all the name suggestions she has given for their second baby. This has resulted in a temporary communication gap between them, although Summer assures that she is just kidding. She also shared a list of her favorite name options for their baby, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer have been husband and wife since 2020, and their child Presley was born in February 2023. When they initially revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to have a baby since their marriage. They sought advice from doctors during this time, but decided to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they soon became pregnant after that break.
