Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. The couple, known for their presence in the country music scene, have recently announced to their fans that they are expecting their second child. Summer, Jon Pardi's wife, took to Instagram Stories to give fans a glimpse into her current pregnancy journey through a Q&A session.
During the weekend (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. This included sharing the story of how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news caught them off guard, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant challenges in trying to conceive their child, Presley. After attempting for a duration of two years and being advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF), they unexpectedly conceived naturally when they decided to let go of all the pressure. Consequently, in October they made the decision to start trying for another child, assuming it might be another lengthy journey to conceive, but to their astonishment, they were met with a surprise.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning, beginning with a test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early and had to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. She observed the test, which ultimately indicated a negative outcome. Feeling disappointed, she discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours passed, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage and reexamine it. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing rapid results, causing her to overlook the fact that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was surprising to her because she had experienced different symptoms compared to her first pregnancy. During this second pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her convinced that she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen the theme for the nursery based on this assumption.
Just a few weeks ago, the Pardis used a creative method to reveal the gender of their baby. They pulled apart two slices of pepperoni pizza, which revealed pink slips of paper underneath. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were unexpectedly thrilled to be welcoming another girl into their family. They expressed their excitement for this new addition.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions for a third baby.
Although this couple is in sync on most aspects of parenthood, there is one area where they disagree – the name of their upcoming baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who had chosen their first child's name, does not like any of her suggestions for baby number two. As a result, they are currently not speaking about it, although she insists it is a joke. Summer also provides a list of her current favorite names, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer got married in 2020 and their child, Presley, was born in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy news, they mentioned that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding. They had sought advice from doctors and took a break from trying to conceive before eventually becoming pregnant.
