Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing to their fans that they are expecting their second child, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully engaged in preparing for the new arrival. Summer provided a glimpse into her ongoing pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the questions, she shared the story of how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not due to them not making an effort to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they faced difficulty in conceiving their child, Presley, as they tried for a period of 2 years and were advised to undergo IVF treatment. However, they were pleasantly surprised when they conceived naturally after giving up on the idea. In October, they made the decision to start trying for another baby, anticipating another lengthy process.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the previous weeks. After watching the test, which indicated a negative result, she felt disappointed, discarded it in the trash, and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story did not end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests that provide quick results, causing her to forget that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This caught her off guard because some of the symptoms she experienced during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was having a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme based on this assumption.
At the beginning of this month, the Pardis utilized a straightforward method to reveal the gender of their baby by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, which exposed pink slips of paper underneath. Despite both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being caught off guard by the news of expecting another girl, they express great enthusiasm and anticipation for the new addition to their family.
The well-being and happiness of a healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two children, although we cannot completely rule out the possibility of a third in the future, we currently have no intentions or plans for expanding our family.
The couple is not in agreement on what to name their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, does not like any of her suggestions for their second child. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although she is joking about it. Summer has also shared a list of her favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their child, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the pregnancy announcement, they revealed that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding. However, they faced some difficulties and sought medical advice before taking a break from their attempts to conceive. Surprisingly, they were able to conceive shortly after taking that break.
