Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, the couple is fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their second child. Summer recently provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy during a Q&A session on Instagram Stories.
During the weekend (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. This included sharing the story of how she discovered she was pregnant on this occasion. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not because they were not attempting to conceive, but because it took them a significant amount of time to get pregnant with their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared that they faced significant challenges when trying to conceive their child, Presley. They attempted for a period of two years and were advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) as a solution. However, coincidentally, they were able to conceive naturally right after they decided to let go of the stress and pressure. Reflecting on this experience, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, fully aware that it might take a while, but to their surprise, they were successful sooner than expected
The morning when she discovered her pregnancy began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for a few weeks. After observing the test, which indicated a negative result, she felt disappointed. She discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Thankfully, the story didn't conclude there. After a couple of hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to recheck. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, causing her to forget that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was caught off guard when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was surprising to her because some of the symptoms she experienced during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme for a boy.
In the recent past, the Pardis conducted a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper beneath them. Despite both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being taken aback by the news of having another daughter, they express great enthusiasm and joy.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is having a disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child's name. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although Summer says she is joking about that. She also provided a list of her favorite name options, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer got married in 2020 and their baby Presley was born in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding. They had sought advice from doctors before taking a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they became pregnant shortly after deciding to pause their efforts.
