Summer, the wife of Jon Pardi, recently shared exciting details about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple is fully embracing the joy of expecting their second child, and Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy journey through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the tale of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not because they weren't actively attempting to conceive, but rather because it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they faced significant challenges in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for a period of two years and were advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they were pleasantly surprised when they conceived naturally shortly after deciding to let go of the pressure. Due to their previous experience, they made the decision to start trying for another child in October, anticipating another potentially lengthy journey, but were surprised once again.
On the morning she discovered she was pregnant, she began by taking a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After taking the test and seeing it turn out negative, she felt disappointed, threw it away, and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling, so she retrieved the pregnancy test from the garbage and rechecked it. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing rapid results, causing her to overlook the fact that pregnancy tests need a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer reveals that she was taken aback when she discovered that she was going to have another girl. This was surprising to her because she noticed some significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery, assuming it would be for a boy.
Earlier in the current month, the Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, which uncovered pink slips of paper beneath them. Despite the unexpected news of welcoming another daughter into their family, both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, express great enthusiasm and anticipation.
The well-being and happiness of a healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently don't have any intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is having a disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who named their first child Presley, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby's name. She jokingly mentions that they are currently not speaking because of this disagreement. Summer also shared a list of her favorite name options, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer have been married for a year now, having tied the knot in 2020. In February 2023, their joy multiplied with the birth of their baby, Presley. Upon announcing the pregnancy, they revealed that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They even sought medical advice before deciding to take a break from their efforts, only to find themselves getting pregnant soon after.
