Summer, the wife of Jon Pardi, recently shared exciting news with fans about their second pregnancy. The couple, known for their country music, are now fully focused on preparing for their new addition. Summer provided fans with a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some fan inquiries regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not due to lack of effort in trying to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for a duration of two years and were informed that they would need to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) to have a child. However, they unexpectedly became pregnant naturally as soon as they decided to let go of their worries. Due to their previous experience, they made the decision to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy process. To their astonishment, they were met with a surprise.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning, beginning with a test that initially showed a negative result. One early morning, she woke up and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. She observed the test, which indicated a negative result, causing her disappointment. Consequently, she discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and retrieved the pregnancy test from the trash to double-check. Surprisingly, the test came out positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, forgetting that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer reveals that she was taken aback when she found out that they were going to have another girl. She was particularly surprised because she had experienced different symptoms during her first pregnancy. This time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had a nursery theme planned out for a boy.
At the beginning of this month, the Pardis used a pepperoni pizza to do a straightforward gender reveal. They pulled off two slices, uncovering pink slips of paper underneath. Even though both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were caught off guard by the news of having another girl, they express being extremely enthusiastic about it.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost importance to us. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot predict the future, we currently do not have any intentions for a third baby.
The couple is currently having a disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for baby number two. She jokingly mentioned that they are not talking to each other right now because of this. Summer also shared a list of her favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and their child, Presley, came into the world in February 2023. They revealed that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding and had sought medical advice before taking a break from their efforts to conceive. Interestingly, they got pregnant shortly after deciding to pause their attempts.
