Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon and Summer are fully focused on preparing for their new addition. Summer recently gave her followers a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.
The singer's spouse took the time to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27). Among the questions answered was how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news was unexpected, not due to lack of effort, but because it had taken them a considerable amount of time to conceive their first child, Presley, who is currently one year old.
Summer shared that they faced great difficulty in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for two years and were advised to undergo in-vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they unexpectedly conceived naturally right after they decided to let go of all their worries. In October, they made the decision to try for another child, anticipating another lengthy journey to conception.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially seemed to show a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After observing the test, which showed a negative outcome, she felt disappointed. Consequently, she discarded the test in the trash and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and retrieved the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck. To her surprise, the test showed a positive result. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing rapid results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully show the outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her, especially because she noticed significant differences in her symptoms compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was carrying a boy. She even went as far as choosing a nursery theme based on this assumption.
Earlier this month, the Pardis used a creative method to reveal the gender of their upcoming child. They pulled away two slices of a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper hidden underneath. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were surprised but extremely thrilled to be welcoming another girl into their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies and although we won't completely rule it out, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child and believes he gets to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although she is joking about it. Summer also shared a list of her current favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their child, Presley, in February 2023. They revealed that they had been actively attempting to conceive since their wedding and sought medical advice along the way. After taking a break from trying to get pregnant, they were pleasantly surprised to become pregnant soon after.
