Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. Jon Pardi and his wife Summer have recently announced that they are expecting their second child. They are now fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their new baby. Summer provided her fans with a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse recently responded to fan inquiries regarding pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27). Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news was unexpected, not due to a lack of effort in trying, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to conceive their first child, who is now one year old and named Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for a period of two years and were informed that they would have to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, surprisingly, they conceived naturally as soon as they decided to let go of the stress and pressure surrounding the situation. In October, they made the decision to start trying for another child, just in case the process turned out to be lengthy once again.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning after taking a test that initially showed a negative result. Feeling the need to urinate early in the morning, she decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for a few weeks. After observing the test, which indicated a negative result, she felt disappointed, disposed of it in the trash, and returned to bed.
Luckily, the situation did not conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage and recheck the results. She discovered that it was indeed positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing immediate results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests need a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because some of the symptoms she experienced during this pregnancy were completely different from her previous one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was having a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery, assuming it would be a boy.
Earlier this month, the Pardis used a creative method to reveal the gender of their upcoming child. They pulled away two slices from a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper underneath. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news of having another girl, but they are extremely enthusiastic about this addition to their family.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot guarantee anything for the future, we currently do not have any intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is currently disagreeing on one aspect of parenthood, which is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer mentioned that Pardi, who selected their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby's name. As a result, they are currently not discussing it, although Summer mentioned it in a joking manner. She also shared a list of her preferred names, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, and Skeye, among others.
Pardi and summer have been in a marital relationship since 2020, and their child Presley was born in February 2023. When they initially revealed the news of the pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to conceive a baby since their wedding. They had sought advice from doctors before taking a break from their efforts to conceive. Surprisingly, soon after they decided to pause their attempts, they successfully became pregnant.
