Jon Pardi’s Wife Opens Up About Surprise Pregnancy and Baby No. 2

  • by

Summer, the wife of Jon Pardi, recently shared some exciting news with fans about their second pregnancy. The couple is now fully focused on preparing for their new addition and Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session.

The singer's spouse recently responded to some fan inquiries about pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27). She shared the story of how she discovered she was expecting this time. It was unexpected news, she confessed, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.

Summer shared that they experienced difficulty in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for a period of two years and were even informed that they would need to undergo IVF. However, they surprisingly conceived naturally as soon as they decided to let go of the stress and pressure. Due to their previous experience, they made the decision to start trying to conceive again in October, anticipating another potentially lengthy journey.

On the morning when she discovered her pregnancy, it all began with a pregnancy test that initially seemed to show a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and had the urge to urinate, so she decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. She observed the test as the result turned out to be negative, which made her feel disappointed. Consequently, she discarded the test in the trash and went back to sleep.

Thankfully, the story didn't come to an end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing quick results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.

In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was surprising to her because she experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was having a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this belief.

In recent weeks, the Pardis used a creative method to announce the gender of their upcoming child. They revealed the gender by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, which uncovered pink slips of paper underneath. Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were both taken aback by the news of having another girl, but they express great enthusiasm and joy about it.

The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot predict the future, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.

The couple in question is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who had chosen their first child's name, dislikes all the names she has suggested for their second baby. Summer jokingly mentions that they are currently not speaking because of this disagreement. She also provides a list of her preferred names, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020, and their daughter Presley was born in February 2023. They revealed that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding and had sought medical advice before deciding to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they got pregnant shortly after taking this break.
