Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully focused on preparing for their upcoming baby. Summer recently provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session.
The singer's spouse took the time to respond to some inquiries from fans on Saturday (Jan. 27) regarding pregnancy and children. Among the questions answered was the story of how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not due to a lack of effort on their part, but because it took them quite a while to conceive their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for a span of two years and were even advised to undergo IVF treatment. However, they unexpectedly conceived naturally when they decided to let go of all the stress. Summer mentioned that due to their previous experience, they made the decision to start trying for another baby in October, assuming it could potentially take a long time once again.
She began her day by taking a pregnancy test, hoping to confirm her suspicions. Initially, the test seemed to be negative, which disappointed her. She had taken the test early in the morning when she woke up and needed to use the bathroom. Since she and her partner had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks, she decided to give it a try. After watching the test, she saw it display a negative result. Feeling disappointed, she threw the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Thankfully, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck. To her surprise, the test showed a clear positive result. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results and overlooked the fact that pregnancy tests require a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she learned that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because she experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. She mentions that during this time, from weeks 5 to 10, she felt extremely nauseous, which led her to believe that she was going to have a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.
In the past few weeks, the Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink pieces of paper underneath. Despite both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being taken aback by the news of having another daughter, she expresses that they are extremely thrilled about it.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, there are currently no intentions or arrangements for a third child.
The couple disagrees on one aspect of being parents, which is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who had previously chosen their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby and believes he gets to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although it is meant as a joke. Summer also shares a list of her favorite possible names, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and had their daughter, Presley, in February 2023. They revealed during the pregnancy announcement that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding. They had sought medical advice but decided to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they became pregnant shortly after taking the break.
