Jon Pardi's wife, Summer, has shared details about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple is now fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their second baby. Summer gave her followers a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse recently responded to several fan inquiries regarding pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27). She shared the story of discovering her pregnancy this time, revealing that it came as an unexpected surprise. She clarified that it wasn't due to them not trying, but rather because it took them a significant amount of time to conceive their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in one section that they faced difficulties in conceiving their child Presley, as they tried for a period of two years and were advised to pursue IVF. However, they unexpectedly conceived naturally after deciding to let go of the stress and pressure. After this experience, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy process, but were pleasantly surprised.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying for a baby in the past few weeks. After taking the test and seeing it turn negative, she felt disappointed. She discarded the test in the trash and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test she had thrown away earlier to double-check the results. To her surprise, the test showed a clear positive sign. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests that provide immediate results, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to show the full outcome.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback to discover that they were going to have another girl, particularly because she had experienced symptoms during this pregnancy that were very different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was going to have a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on that assumption.
Earlier in the current month, Pardis utilized a straightforward method to reveal the gender of their baby. They achieved this by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, which uncovered pink pieces of paper beneath them. Even though both Summer and her spouse, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news of expecting another girl, she expressed their immense enthusiasm.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two children. While I won't completely rule it out, we currently have no intentions of having a third child.
The couple is experiencing a disagreement when it comes to choosing the name for their upcoming baby. Summer mentioned that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all her suggestions for their second child's name. This has led to some tension between them, but she clarified that they are not actually not talking to each other. Summer also shared a list of her favorite potential names, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer got married in 2020 and their baby, Presley, was born in February 2023. When they informed everyone about Summer's pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to have a baby ever since their wedding. They had consulted with doctors before deciding to take a break from trying to conceive, and surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after.
