Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing to their fans that they are expecting their second child, Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer, are fully focused on preparing for the baby. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy during an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some inquiries from fans about pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not due to a lack of effort, but rather because it took them a significant amount of time to conceive their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that she and her partner faced significant challenges while trying to conceive their child, Presley. Despite attempting for two years and being advised to pursue in vitro fertilization (IVF), they unexpectedly conceived naturally when they decided to let go of their worries. As a result, they decided to begin trying for another baby in October, anticipating that it might take a while based on their previous experience.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning, which began with a test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the previous weeks. After taking the test and seeing the negative result, she felt disappointed and threw it away before going back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude at that point. After a couple of hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the test showed a positive result. Summer realizes that she had become accustomed to the rapid results of COVID-19 tests and overlooked the fact that pregnancy tests need a few minutes to fully show the outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This surprise was mainly due to the fact that she experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.
In the past few weeks, the Pardis had a creative way of revealing the gender of their baby. They pulled apart two slices of a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper, indicating that they were expecting another girl. Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised by the news and are very enthusiastic about expanding their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is not in agreement on the name for their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all the names she suggests for baby number two. As a result, they are currently not speaking, although Summer adds that she is joking. She also shared a list of her preferred names, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the pregnancy announcement, they mentioned that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They even sought advice from doctors and took a break from their attempts before unexpectedly becoming pregnant.
