Jon Pardi’s Wife Shares Surprising Pregnancy Story and Baby Name Dilemma

  • by

Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, has shared some information about her second pregnancy. The couple recently revealed to their fans that they are expecting another baby. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend, showcasing their excitement for the upcoming arrival.

The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions asked was how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came as a surprise, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it had taken them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.

Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child named Presley. They tried for a duration of two years and were informed that they would need to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, right after they decided to let go of all the worries and stress, they unexpectedly became pregnant naturally. As a result of this experience, in October, they made the decision to start trying to conceive again, just in case it turned out to be another lengthy process.

The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early one morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After observing the test, which indicated a negative result, she felt disappointed. Consequently, she discarded the test and returned to bed.

Luckily, the story did not come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. Summer realized that she was accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, and had overlooked the fact that pregnancy tests need a few minutes to fully show the outcome.

In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl, especially considering that some of the signs she experienced during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. She mentions that this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery in anticipation of a boy.

Earlier this month, the Pardis announced the gender of their baby by using a pepperoni pizza. They removed two slices to uncover pink slips of paper, indicating that they were expecting a girl. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news, but they are incredibly thrilled about the addition of another daughter to their family.

The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. In addition, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently don't have any intentions of having a third baby.

Although the couple is in agreement on most aspects of parenthood, they are currently in disagreement when it comes to choosing a name for their upcoming baby. Summer reveals that her partner, Pardi, dislikes all the names she has suggested for their second child. She jokingly mentions that they are not speaking to each other because of this disagreement. Summer then shares a list of her favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and Summer have been married for a year now and their daughter, Presley, was born in February 2023. They revealed that they had been actively trying to have a baby since they got married and had sought medical advice before deciding to take a break from trying. Surprisingly, they got pregnant soon after they stopped trying.
