Summer, the wife of country singer Jon Pardi, recently shared exciting details about her second pregnancy with fans. She and Jon are fully embracing the anticipation of welcoming their new addition, and Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy journey through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time to respond to some inquiries from fans on Saturday (Jan. 27) regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions asked was about how she discovered that she was expecting this time. She confessed that the news was unexpected, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer explained in a slide that they faced great difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. After attempting for two years and being advised to undergo in-vitro fertilization (IVF), they miraculously conceived naturally when they decided to let go of their worries. Due to their previous experience, they made the decision in October to start trying for another baby, anticipating a potentially lengthy process once again. However, to their astonishment, they were pleasantly surprised with the outcome.
The morning when she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially seemed to show a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the previous weeks. She observed the test, saw that it turned out to be negative, felt disappointed, discarded it in the trash, and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story did not come to a close at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage and reexamine it. To her surprise, the result was undeniably positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests producing immediate results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to display the complete outcome.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected because she experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. This time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen the theme for the nursery based on this assumption.
Earlier this month, the Pardis used a unique method to reveal the gender of their upcoming child. They pulled apart two slices of a pepperoni pizza and discovered pink slips of paper underneath, indicating they were expecting a girl. Despite being caught off guard by the news, both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, expressed their immense excitement about the new addition to their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple disagrees on one aspect of being parents, and that is deciding on a name for their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who had previously chosen their first child's name, dislikes all her suggestions for their second child. As a result, they are currently not speaking about it, although it is meant as a joke. Summer also provided a list of her current favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy news, they mentioned that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding. They even sought medical advice but decided to take a break from their efforts. Surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after their break.
