Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. The couple, known in the country music scene, have announced to their fans that they are expecting their second child. They are now fully focused on preparing for the baby's arrival, and Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time to respond to some inquiries from fans on Saturday (Jan. 27) regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came as a surprise, not due to lack of effort, but because they experienced difficulty in conceiving their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in one slide that they struggled to conceive with their first child, Presley. They attempted for two years and were advised to undergo IVF. However, they miraculously conceived naturally when they decided to let go of the stress and pressure. Summer mentioned that due to their previous experience, they started trying for another baby in October, expecting a potentially lengthy journey once again.
She began her day by taking a pregnancy test, which initially seemed to show a negative result. Early in the morning, she woke up and felt the need to urinate, so she decided to take a test since she and her partner had been trying to conceive for a few weeks. After observing the test, which indicated a negative outcome, she felt disappointed. She discarded the test in the trash and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the situation didn't come to an end. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test she had thrown away and recheck the results. To her surprise, the test showed a clear positive indication. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing immediate results, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to develop fully.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer reveals her surprise upon learning that she was pregnant with another girl. It was unexpected for her because she noticed distinct differences in her symptoms compared to her first pregnancy. During this second pregnancy, Summer experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme based on this assumption.
In the past, the Pardis had a straightforward way of revealing the gender of their baby. They used a pepperoni pizza and pulled off two slices to uncover pink slips of paper hidden beneath. Despite the unexpected news of having another girl, both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, are extremely thrilled about it.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I can't predict the future, we currently don't have any intentions of having a third baby.
The couple currently disagrees on one aspect of becoming parents, and that is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby and believes he gets to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not speaking about it, although Summer adds that she is joking. She also provides a list of her preferred names, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the announcement of their pregnancy, they revealed that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They sought medical advice but eventually decided to take a break from their efforts, which surprisingly led to their successful pregnancy.
