Dolly Parton is interested in organizing a lookalike contest for a specific reason. If you happen to look very similar to Dolly Parton, regardless of which phase of her career, she might consider selecting you to be a part of a Broadway production based on her life.

Indeed, Parton has recently disclosed to People that she is currently engaged in the process of transforming her life story into a musical.

She expresses that going to Broadway and having her show open there has been a significant goal for her for a long time. It is the one goal she wants to ensure she accomplishes while she is alive and able to be actively involved in it.

By doing so, she will have the opportunity to make artistic choices, which includes the unconventional decision to allow individuals from diverse backgrounds to audition for the role of Dolly. This extends beyond individuals who have only had extensive experience in musical theater.

Parton suggests that she might oversee a competition called "Finding Dolly," in which a wide-ranging talent search will take place to find actors for three different versions of the main character. These variations include a young Dolly, a Dolly from her earlier years, and an older Dolly.

"We will be holding auditions and exploring various avenues to discover talented individuals. I believe this process will also be enjoyable for the audience," Parton explains. "It's exciting because you never know where we might find these individuals. They could be completely new to the stage or have previously performed in local theaters. Searching for them will add a sense of fun and anticipation to the project."

Parton has mentioned the possibility of a musical about her life before, mentioning it in various interviews. She expressed her desire to have the show ready by "late '25," as mentioned in her recent conversation with People magazine.

Dolly Parton, the famous country singer, has several career aspirations that she is actively pursuing. In an interview with Taste of Country, she expressed her desire to establish her own television network in the near future.
