Parton has mentioned that she could potentially lead a competition called "Finding Dolly," where they will search for talented individuals to portray three different versions of the main character. These versions include a young Dolly, a Dolly from her earlier years, and an older Dolly.
"We will be conducting auditions and exploring various avenues to discover talented individuals. I believe this process will also be enjoyable for others," Parton explains. "It's exciting because you never know where we might come across these individuals. They could be completely new to performing or have some experience in a local theater. The search for talent will definitely add to the excitement and enjoyment, I believe."
Parton has mentioned the possibility of a musical about her life on previous occasions, and she recently talked about it again in an interview. She expressed her desire to see the show come to life by "late '25," as per her latest discussion with People magazine.
