Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully embracing their journey into parenthood once again. Summer recently provided a glimpse into her ongoing pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.
On Saturday (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came as a surprise, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a significant amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter Presley.
Summer shared on one slide that they experienced difficulties in conceiving their child Presley, trying for a period of two years and even being advised to undergo IVF. However, they were pleasantly surprised when they conceived naturally right after deciding to let go of all the stress. This positive outcome motivated them to start trying for another child in October, just in case they faced another prolonged journey towards conception.
On the morning when she discovered that she was pregnant, the day began with her taking a pregnancy test. Initially, the test seemed to show a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning, feeling the need to urinate, so she decided to take the test because she and her partner had been attempting to conceive in the previous weeks. She observed the test, which displayed a negative outcome, causing her to feel disappointed. She then discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. She discovered that the result was indeed positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to rapid results from COVID-19 tests and had forgotten that pregnancy tests need a few minutes to show the complete outcome.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because she noticed some significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was going to have a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme based on this assumption.
In recent weeks, the Pardis conducted a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, which unveiled pink slips of paper below. Both Summer and her spouse, a country singer, were taken aback by the news of expecting another girl, but they express great enthusiasm and anticipation for the new addition to their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I can't predict the future, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
Although this couple is on the same page about most aspects of parenthood, they are having a disagreement when it comes to choosing a name for their upcoming baby. Summer explains that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, does not like any of her suggestions for their second baby. As a result, they are currently not discussing the matter, although Summer mentions this in a lighthearted manner. She also shares a list of her current favorite name options, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and their baby, Presley, arrived in February 2023. When they made the announcement about Summer's pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding. They had sought advice from doctors but decided to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after taking the break.
