Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. Jon Pardi and his wife Summer have revealed to their fans that they are expecting their second child. The couple is now fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their baby, and Summer recently gave fans a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.
On a Saturday (January 27th), the spouse of the singer responded to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions addressed how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not because they weren't actively attempting to conceive, but because it had taken them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. Despite trying for two years and being advised to undergo IVF, they were able to conceive naturally as soon as they decided to not focus on it. Due to their previous experience, they chose to start trying for another child in October, anticipating another lengthy process, but were pleasantly surprised.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that, initially, showed a negative result. She woke up very early one morning and had to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a pregnancy test because they had been trying to conceive in the previous weeks. She observed the test, which appeared to be negative, so she felt disappointed, threw it away, and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't come to a conclusion at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck the results. To her surprise, it showed a clear positive sign. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests, which produce results rapidly, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was surprising to her because she experienced various symptoms during this pregnancy that were quite different from her previous one. During this time, she felt extremely sick from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery in anticipation of a baby boy.
At the beginning of the month, the Pardis revealed the gender of their baby by uncovering pink pieces of paper hidden beneath two slices of pepperoni pizza. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news of having another girl in the family, but they express great enthusiasm and joy about it.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. While we are content with having two babies, I cannot completely rule out the possibility of a third in the future. However, as of now, we do not have any specific plans for expanding our family.
The couple disagrees on one aspect of being parents, which is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer mentions that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all the names she suggests for their second child. She jokingly adds that they are currently not talking because of this disagreement. Summer also shares a list of her favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020, and their daughter Presley was born in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding. They even sought advice from medical professionals before deciding to take a break from their attempts to conceive. Interestingly, it was during this break that they unexpectedly became pregnant.
