Summer, the wife of Jon Pardi, recently shared some exciting details about her second pregnancy. Jon and Summer are fully embracing the upcoming arrival of their second child, and Summer provided fans with a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.
During the weekend (Jan. 27), the wife of the singer took the time to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions addressed how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came as a shock, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a long time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared that they faced significant challenges when trying to conceive their first child, Presley. They attempted to get pregnant for a duration of two years and were even advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, unexpectedly, they conceived naturally right after they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. Reflecting on this experience, Summer mentioned that they made the decision to start trying for another baby in October, just in case the process turned out to be lengthy once again.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks. After taking the test and seeing the negative result, she felt disappointed and threw it away before going back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the test showed a positive result. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, and momentarily forgot that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to display the complete outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another daughter. This came as a surprise to her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.
At the beginning of this month, Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza to unveil pink slips of paper hidden beneath them. Despite both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being caught off guard by the news of expecting another girl, she expresses their immense enthusiasm for the upcoming addition to their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Furthermore, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
Although this couple agrees on most aspects of parenthood, one area where they are currently in disagreement is the name of their unborn baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who had chosen their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child's name. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although Summer clarifies that she is just kidding. She also shares a list of her current favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer have been married for a year and have a baby named Presley who was born in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively attempting to conceive since their wedding. They sought advice from doctors but decided to take a break from trying. Interestingly, it was during this break that they unexpectedly became pregnant.
