Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, has shared information about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple, known in the country music industry, are currently fully focused on preparing for their upcoming baby. Summer recently provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy during an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.
Over the weekend (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. This included sharing the account of how she discovered she was expecting again. She confessed that the news was unexpected, not due to lack of effort on their part, but rather because it took them a considerable amount of time to conceive their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in one slide that they faced difficulty in conceiving their child Presley. They tried for two years and were advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF), but unexpectedly, they conceived naturally as soon as they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. However, despite this unexpected success, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, just in case they faced another long and challenging journey to conceive.
The woman's discovery of her pregnancy began with a morning where she took a pregnancy test, which initially seemed to show a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. She observed the test, which appeared negative, so she felt disappointed, disposed of it in the trash, and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story did not come to an end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to double-check. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. Summer attributes her initial confusion to being accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, forgetting that pregnancy tests require some time to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer acknowledges that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because she had experienced some symptoms during this pregnancy that were very different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme for a boy.
Earlier this month, the Pardis revealed the gender of their baby by using a pepperoni pizza. They pulled away two slices of the pizza to uncover pink slips of paper underneath, indicating that they are expecting a girl. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised by this news and are extremely thrilled about welcoming another girl into their family.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility of a third baby in the future, we currently have no intentions or plans for expanding our family.
The couple is currently disagreeing on what to name their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, doesn't like any of her suggestions for their second baby and believes he gets to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although she says it in a joking manner. Summer also shared a list of her favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the pregnancy announcement, they revealed that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They had sought medical advice before taking a break from their attempts, and surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after.
